Iwisa Samp 1Kg good alternative to potatoes

IWISA Samp is dried corn kernels which are cooked in very much the same way as rice. Samp is a good alternative to potatoes, rice and pasta, and has a low oil content.

It can also be served with beef, lamb, poultry and used in stuffings. Try it as a ‘rissotto’ – add some spinach, cubed squash, beet, lots of seasoning and herbs, garlic and a bit of hot sauce. Or with loads of herbs and chillies plus mixed beans. Or as a base instead of couscous – add mushrooms, onions and herbs.
